Text description provided by the architects. This house is located on a sloping site from which one can enjoy beautiful views and natural light. The original topography is reordered into two terraced levels. The house is placed on the top level, while the lower level houses a swimming-pool and a services area in a semi-buried volume, acting as a retaining wall supporting the upper platform. The living area of the house looks onto the views. Large covered and open-air terraces are located in front of this living area, adjoined to and extending the indoor spaces towards the outside, which can be used during most of the year.
The entrance to the site, the garage, the porch of the house, two small courtyards and a kitchen garden for domestic use are located on the other side of the house. The construction is resolved using two horizontal concrete slabs planes supported by metal pillars and blind vertical brick walls, directing the sight from the inside towards specific views of the site or the landscape.
